Christmas Drama - The Story of the Birth of Christ

On the 21st of December 2008, H.B Mar Narsai de Baz the metropolitan of Syria, Lebanon and Europe and H.B Mar Gewargis Slewa metropolitan of Iraq and Russia were honorary guests of a congregation of more than 750 people gathered in Edessa Hall to celebrate the 10th annual “Story of the Birth of Jesus Christ’ drama conducted by Rabi Shora Mikhalian and the Church Choir. The night was a true blessing to every individual as the audience watched the story of the birth of Jesus Christ (‘God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts’ Galatians 4:6).
Every individual shared one opinion alone, and that was the blessing they felt to be in the presence of two of our beloved prelates, H.B Mar Narsai de Baz the metropolitan of Syria, Lebanon and Europe and H.B Mar Gewargis Slewa metropolitan of Iraq and Russia. We praised our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for the strength he gave to the young children to stage such an amazing drama. The efforts of everyone involved did not go unnoticed as H.B Mar Narsai gave everyone his support and love in his speech and encouraged all the children to always have God in their heart and continue to devote their time working in the various fields of the church in the glorious name of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
The night ended on a beautiful note with a remarkable fireworks display that left every adult and child with smiles on their faces and the Christmas spirit in their hearts.
We continually thank and praise our heavenly Father for always keeping us in His peace and giving us the strength and will to annually stage the ‘Story of the Birth of Jesus Christ’.
