The Church Choir group has, for many years,
played a vital spiritual roll during Sunday Services. Conducted
by Rabi Shora Mikhailian, the group participates in the
service, singing hymns in both the Aramaic and classical
Syriac language.
On many occasions, the Choir has been invited
to perform outside of the Church for various National groups.
The following are details of these performances:
-
T.A.A.S annual yearly ball (various venues)
-
Symposium Syriacom (Sydney University)
-
Habbanya reunion (Nineveh Club Ltd)
-
Annual Martyrs day commemoration (August 7)
To date, Rabbi
Shora and the Choir group have released one audiocassette
in 1991, commemorating the opening of St. Hurmizd Cathedral.
Currently, the group is contemplating, releasing it's
first CD, consisting of the Holy Mass By His Grace Bishop
Mar Meelis Zaia, along with other spiritual Hymns.
